Longer and heavier trains result in greater volumes and millions of tonnes of greater haulage capacity. Heavy raw materials can be delivered to customers on both short and long haul routes. We do all of this with a strong link to our environmental responsibilities. We will lower DB Schenker's own carbon footprint and, in doing so, lower the carbon footprint of customers who use our services in preference to other operators and road haulage.

On-site shunting, loading & discharge

Our team of experienced rail professionals operate more than 600 trains a week, moving heavy raw materials, such as metals and petroleum products. Our customers see the value and confidence we bring to their businesses with our consistent record of operating safely.

This railway experience can be used by customers who need us to provide shunting services at their ports, production sites and factories. We are experts in managing the safe shunting of trains at customer sites across the country.

Our dedicated professional people are fully experienced and competent in the loading and discharge of heavy raw materials, such as metal, petroleum products and other dangerous goods. Our customers see value in us, with our experience of safe operations, looking after the loading and discharge of sensitive products at customer locations. Wagon & track maintenance

DB Schenker maintains its own large fleet of rail wagons and also takes responsibility for maintaining wagons owned by our customers. We have facilities nationwide or we can work on our customers' premises. The level of professional care we take in maintaining our own wagons is the same for the wagons we maintain for our customers. This level of care and value added service is where we can do more for you.

DB Schenker maintains its own track in the terminals, yards and sidings it owns, and has contracts to maintain track for a number of customers. Our customers see value in DB Schenker, with its experience of safe operations, looking after rail infrastructure at ports, production sites and factories. DB Schenker also renews and installs track at its own sites and customer locations.
