Re-certification courses last one day, with a maximum course size of four people, and will provide a certificate lasting five years.
A Sentinel card comes with the course, and DB Schenker is audited and accredited by Network Rail to deliver these courses, ensuring they are compliant to Network Rail standards.
The courses are open to all railway companies, with courses recently run for First Scotrail, London Midland, Network Rail and Northern. Training can be provided either on the customer’s site or within the DB Schenker training facility in Doncaster.
Courses are run by Kenny Ralston. Kenny has over 30 years of railway experience, previously as a driver and a traction inspector. He led for DB Schenker the signal sighting for the West Coast Main Line upgrade and is an active participant of the Network Rail signal sighting committee.
